Control-IQ Campaign

Work Summary

The Control-IQ Technology campaign was a large scale omnichannel product marketing effort to promote the key distinguishing features and benefits over its competitors.

Control-IQ is a predictive algorithm technology for Tandem pumps that predicts glucose levels 30 minutes in advance.

Beginning from a blank page, my responsibilities included repetitive campaign design prototyping, coordinating photo shoots, editing custom photography, forward thinking strategy, and the implementation of the design frameworks across all channels.

Utilizing the main campaign messaging as a north star, I produced finished works in various forms of print, web, video, emails, webpages, social media, and more while making sure that they all visually told the same story.

One of the largest challenges was to explain the product. With the product being an algorithm, there isn't anything inherently tangible for a customer to hold, feel, and understand. So it was paramount for the entire campaign to easily educate the customer on how the technology works and how it benefits their day-to-day life.

I resolved this creative challenge by identifying the problems, strategizing all the ways it was going to be used, and executing a flexible design solution that was effective in every way it was presented; as a standalone static graphic, displayed with supporting copy, and put into motion with animation. This solution was woven throughout the entire campaign.

This was a very complex campaign with countless layers and moving parts. In order to reach specific audiences, I crafted multiple sub-campaigns. For instance, the "How Control-IQ Changed My Life" sub-campaign focused on user-generated content that helped simplify real life benefits to customers on a grassroots level. The pediatric sub-campaign took a playful spin on the overarching design frameworks for pediatric patients and caregivers. To aid the technical side of the campaign, a large suite of instructional guides and videos were created for new and existing customers to make a smooth transition into the new product.

With this being an evergreen distinguishing product, these are only a few examples out of many, to describe all the efforts put into this vast design campaign. It was a design ecosystem full of life that I was proud to have worked on.
