Tandem Diabetes Care is a patient-first diabetes management company that develops insulin pumps and software to improve the lives of diabetics.
For eight years on their design team, I was the lead designer for motion graphics and video needs. My responsibilities spanned across a wide range of roles and multiple campaigns with one of the earliest projects being to implement a company wide visual rebrand.
I developed many of the standard variety print and digital collateral, such as brochures, print ads, webpages, emails, social media, and more. I spearheaded a number of initiatives including multiple brand and product launch campaigns, large scale tradeshow events, and owning the brand identity for Team Tandem, the official membership program for Tandem pump users.
I was the lead designer for all motion and video project needs. This included everything from digital ads, brand and product videos, animated assets, storyboards, coordinating video and photo shoots, managing digital asset libraries, and more. I designed multiple paid media ad campaigns that resulted in a 44% growth of total patient leads and created a library of animated social assets which earned more than 11 million views combined.
The design process at Tandem involved working directly alongside the writing and design team to ensure harmony between design and content. I produced work with U.S. and international audiences in mind by thinking about the different ways that audiences think while planning around translation challenges.
It was extremely satisfying to work across a wide spectrum of different roles and projects, from lo-fi social media memes, all the way to expansive, full scale, living and breathing high fidelity campaigns.
